Alpenglow
Maroon Bells might get all of the fame of Aspen, but Crater Lake, just over a mile up the mountain, goes toe to toe with the infamous lake anyday. I had originally arrived here to capture the lakes reflection, only to find out the lake had dried up for the season. Things weren't looking great, but mother nature doesn't disappoint and provided me with this spectacular sight during alpenglow. Although it wasn't what I expected, this sunrise was one of the most spectacular of the year.
