Standing below the enormous sandstone monoliths, you wouldn't imagine that you were less than a mile away from civilization. The jagged ridges and towering hoodos of Garden Of The Gods creates a sense of isolation, even when you're nothing more than a few minutes away from a major city. Yet it holds as a refuge for many.
