Island Lake is one of the most beautiful landscapes I have ever seen. Located miles into the wind river range, it can only be reached through a backpacking trip. The Wind River Range, located outside of Pinedale Wyoming is full of such lakes like this and it should be a destination for many experienced backpackers.
